Conn 545 Trinidad

This was originally a Conn Trinidad, based on the same technology as the Conn 652. I ripped off some important and expensive ICs to repair my big Conn. There was also lots of non-working accompaniment stuff and two 3,5 octave keyboards, not truely interesting features.

The horse-shoe console is very pretty and has also a built-in Leslie speaker. That’s why I decided to remove all electronic parts. I replaced the keyboards with a wooden keyboard from a pipe organ which I found at ebay. This new keyboard reused parts of the old contact switches and were connected to a Midi controller (MIOS see http://www.mcapps.de/ ). Well, I won’t do this again, I massively underestimated the mechanical work for replacing manuals!

The MIDI console after the rebuild

Now it is a nice Theatre Organ console for Miditizer and Hauptwerk.
